Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Dr. Roth will provide a diagnosis during the consultation with the child and parents. Formal questionnaires are used in the diagnostic process. After making a diagnosis, Dr. Roth will develop a treatment plan with the parents, which may include behavior therapy and medication management. Ongoing follow-ups will be scheduled to ensure correct medication and dosage.
Learning Disability
Dr. Roth will conduct a full evaluation of school testing and develop an individualized education plan for your child at his or her school. Ongoing support will be provided to re-evaluate the special services needed at each step in your child's education.
Mood Disorders
Dr. Roth will perform a full psychological evaluation by DSM4 criteria for depression and generalized anxiety disorder. Behavioral and medication recommendations with be provided along with follow-up appointments to ensure efficacy.
Oppositional Disorder
Dr. Roth will evaluate Oppositional Disorder using formal questionnaires and clinical history. He will provide recommendations and strategies to handle dysfunction at home and at school. Dr. Roth will follow-up with the child to ensure strategies are working.
Other Specialties
In addition to other specialties, Dr. Roth will evaluate generalized behavior problems in developmentally delayed children. He will make use of behavior and medication management, parent/child interaction therapy and ongoing follow-up appointments to ensure control of difficult behaviors. Difficult behaviors include sleep disorders.
Dr. Roth will also conduct follow-up appointments for premature infants and ensure coordination of their medical needs with respect to weight gain and nutrition, neurological evaluation with physical, occupational and speech therapy, respiratory problems, ophthalmologic follow-ups and hearing evaluation.
